CP LAND moves forward with partners to continue Solar Cell for Life, Happiness Travel, Year 2, promoting a low-carbon tourism lifestyle in Noen Maprang District, Phitsanulok Province

 

C.P. Land Public Company Limited or CP LAND, a leading real estate developer in Thailand, is moving forward with partners from both the public and private sectors, including Ban Mung Municipality, Noen Maprang District, Phitsanulok Province, with Mr. Boonluea Baramee, Deputy Governor of Phitsanulok Province, as the chairman of the handover ceremony.

 

Together with 904 volunteers, royal volunteers, regular soldiers, Air Force Battalion, Wing 46, Transport Battalion 23, Mobile Development Unit 34, Excise Department, Surasak Kachmat Construction Co., Ltd., BMW Nithiboon (Nithibun), Nippon Paint, Phitsanulok Hospital, Provincial Chamber of Commerce and YEC Phitsanulok, joining in continuing ‘Solar Cell For Life, Happiness Can Travel’ for the 2nd year at Ban Mung Subdistrict, Noen Maprang District, Phitsanulok Province.

 

This is a project in line with the Social Contribution approach under the basic philosophy of ‘Quality for All Life’ or ‘Accessible Communities for Life’ of CP LAND that aims to deliver happiness to remote communities. “Even in remote areas, happiness will become light” and on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 6th cycle birthday anniversary or 72 years old on July 28, 2024.

 

 

Solar Cell For Life Happiness Travel is a project that delivers clean energy lighting that is environmentally friendly, creating safety for communities in remote areas and areas lacking electricity. It continues from 2023, when the prototype project was initiated at Khiriwong Community, Kamlon Subdistrict, Lansaka District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, by providing 80 innovative solar streetlights covering a total distance of approximately 5 kilometers, worth over 1.5 million baht. It will continue in the second year at Ban Mung Subdistrict, Noen Maprang District, Phitsanulok Province. This project is a prototype social contribution project of CP LAND, which will study further development and is ready to welcome partners who want to expand cooperation to operate in other areas in the future.

 

Mr. Kanthira Tirawipas, Head of Social Responsibility Project, CP Land Public Company Limited or CP LAND, revealed that the Solar Cell For Life project, Happiness Can Travel, Year 2, this time is a great pride that CP LAND has been a part in giving happiness to the community once again, following the policy of Charoen Pokphand Group that conducts business under the strategy of sustainability along with creating shared value with all stakeholders, taking into account social and environmental responsibility.

 

Under the 3 main strategies (Heart) with a sustainable heart, (Health) creating society, (Home) for the environment, it is also in line with the 5 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (Sustainable Development Goals: SDGs), consisting of Goal 3: Ensure good health and promote well-being for all people at all ages.

By providing clean energy lighting, which is one of the ways to improve the basic infrastructure for a better quality of life and in line with the needs of the area in Ban Mung Subdistrict, Noen Maprang District, Phitsanulok Province, which lacks electricity in some areas, the donation of solar cell poles this time is considered a sustainable happiness that will help the community live a better and safer life. In addition, we have received assistance from both government and private sector partners, including local people who support both physical labor and equipment for installation. It is considered a true collaboration to give back to society.

 

Mr. Apichart Sindhuma, Executive Director of Northern and Northeastern Business Group, CP Land Public Company Limited or CP LAND said that the installation of the solar cell pole system this time is a joint installation of 100 solar cell poles covering a total distance of 4 kilometers. This is the 2nd year that CP LAND has been a part of giving back to society. It is a happiness from both the giver and the recipient in the area. With more than 100 personnel from all sectors of both the public and private sectors, consisting of Ban Mung Municipality, Noen Maprang District, Phitsanulok Province, Volunteer 904, Royal Volunteer, regular soldiers from the Air Force Battalion, Wing 46, Transportation Battalion 23, Mobile Development Unit 34, supporting more than 50 personnel,

 

Excise Department supports drinking water, Surasak Kachmat Construction Co., Ltd. supports forklift and manpower, BMW Nithiboon (Nithibun) supports lunch, Nippon Paint supports paint for electric poles, Phitsanuvej Hospital provides ambulance service to take care of the electric pole installation team, Chamber of Commerce and YEC Phitsanulok take care of the photography of the event, and the people of Ban Mung Subdistrict, Noen Maprang District, Phitsanulok Province who joined forces to install solar cell poles to improve the quality of life, reduce the risk of accidents while traveling, and create safety for both life and property, as well as another way to help stimulate community tourism in Noen Maprang.

 

 

Mr. Phongsit Sumotayakul, Director of Excise Department Region 6, said that this project is beneficial in creating happiness for communities that still need lighting and is in line with the strategy of the Excise Department, which also emphasizes the environment and energy. Lieutenant Piyaphat Sawatthep, Commander of the 2nd Light Truck Transport Company, 23rd Transport Battalion, 3rd Combat Support Command, said that taking care of the people in the area is an important duty of the military in helping the people at every opportunity so that the people can live well and be happy both now and in the future.

 

Air Vice Marshal Nawarun Deema, deputy commander of Wing 46, said that 20 personnel were involved in the installation of the equipment, which is a good project to reduce the risk of accidents while traveling within the community.

Mr. Andrew Nitayameghin, General Manager of BMW Nithiboon Co., Ltd. (BMW Nithiboon), a BMW dealer in the lower northern region, said that BMW Nithiboon is honored to be a part of the development in Phitsanulok Province.

Mr. Sukkasem Nateethong, Project Sales Manager of Nippon Paint Decorative Coating (Thailand) Co., Ltd. or Nippon Paint, said that Nippon Paint is honored and proud to be a part of the project because not only will this project increase happiness and safety for the community, but it will also provide benefits and opportunities for a more convenient life, as well as promote tourism in the community, helping to generate income in the community. This is considered the creation of a truly beneficial sustainable society. In addition, the project’s principles are also in line with one of Nippon Paint’s operational strategies in terms of reducing energy consumption to move towards a low-carbon society.
