‘Colourful Phuket’ Festival features a full month of food, music, and street art
On from 3-31 July, the lively festival is being held to support the Phuket Sandbox programme.

Bangkok, 6 July, 2021 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is taking part in holding the month-long ‘Colourful Phuket Bring Back the Happiness’ Festival, which begins with a grand opening at Patong Beach today and Phuket Old Town area tomorrow.

Also jointly organised by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and Phuket Province, the Festival features an entertaining programme of fireworks, live music, sea sports, art installations, and food truck cuisine that runs right through to the end of July.

The grand opening was held on 3 and 4 July, 2021 at Patong Beach, the most famous of all Phuket’s beaches and a tourist favourite, with local food trucks serving delicious cuisine to try and fireworks and fire show entertainment will light up the evening in dazzling fashion. Also comprises a ‘Projection Mapping’ light and sound show at the Peranakannitat Museum Phuket, located in the heart of the Old Town area at the intersection of Phuket and Phang Nga Roads.

‘The Colourful Phuket Bring Back the Happiness’ Festival will then run to the following schedule, at different locations around the island:

Week 1 (Today – 9 July): Colourful art installations and recycled art displays at Patong Beach and the Old Town District along with local food trucks and mini concerts.

Week 2 (10-16 July): Surf and sea sports activities with colourful photogenic displays and great beach vibes at Kata Beach, and sunset yoga at Promthep Cape.

Week 3 (17-23 July): Digital art installations and street music at Patong Beach.

Week 4 (24-31 July): Projection mapping art and street music at the Old Town District.
